    Good day on the Guad

    Went out on an 8 hr float with some friends on the Guadalupe river and had a heck of a time. First time catching Guadalupe bass and boy do they fight. Managed to catch a 16 1/4 long 2.5 pound as my biggest that day as well as a 6lb / 22in LGMB. Both on light 10lb mono and my lews combo. All catch a release.

    Oh and I'm on my 6th chemo after being diagnosed with Lymphoma cancer at the start of the year. Continue doing what you love no matter what. Everybody's fighting a battle in one way or another. Never give up!

          Awesome, I went to Southwest Texas (not Texas State) in the late 90s and never seemed to make it to class for the river fishing. There isn't much quite like hill country river fishing in the state of texas.

                A lure by grande bass I can't remember exactly what's it's called but imitates a grub.

                          Sounds good, thanks. Seems I've had most of my luck on a plastic worm with bass. Rattletraps have worked great for me also but I've not river fished for bass much.

                            That's a big Guadalupe bass. Pretty close to the water body record for the Guad.

                              What a fun trip.

                              I'm not much on bass fishing but I would absolutely love to catch a Guadalupe Bass.
