Dumb question, but I assume racing fuel is not ore mixed? This sounds like a good option. Also, does anyone else find that their chainsaws do not seem to run as hot when running Tru-Fuel. That's all I have put in my saws last two years and when mist that stuff sat for 6 mths when I was on my hike the saws started right up when I returned....except it seems to me the fuel does not have enough octane?

I add the oil in the can they fill at the store.
The salesperson told me the race fuel is also of a higher spec than regular pump gas - not sure how true that is, but it's what I was told.

I've had several pieces of equipment go in for maintenance because of ethanol. I started running tru fuel etc pre mixed stuff at 20$ a gallon, and my stuff has ran great then started buying ethanol free from a Murphys gas station and my stuff started running like crap again my echo equipment loves vp and echo pretty mix fuel

Hopefully one day the subsidies which are now in the form of tax breaks will run out and when and if it does ethanol will be no more since it costs more to produce than it sells for. I have read it takes up to 6 gallons of water to produce one gallon of ethanol. That can't be profitable. Also the energy it takes to produce a gallon of corn likker is more than the product. It's all a big ponzi scheme IMO.

Ok so my Homelite leaf blower can't be fixed. Too old to buy parts for.
My Ryobi power head is up and running strong again so I just bought one of the Jet Blower attachments for it and a quart of that premix. Spent about the same as I would on a new carb for the ole blower.
This thing works real good and moves a lot of air without too much noise.

I have been running it exclusively for the last four years in all of our chainsaws, pole saws, string trimmers, t post driver....
Everything still starts up quick, and I've had ZERO carb problems.
This is what I use unless I know I will be running my saw a lot .
