Where did all the deer in Cisco go?

This has been a very bad year at Ben's place in Cisco. Our cameras are not even showing much at all. We did have several mature deer, but that had little horns which is unusual as well. We have been watching the cameras and checking the feeders, but we have not put any hunts because the lack of game. I keep hoping that it will turn, but from the sounds of it does not sound good.
On a side note it sounds like world war 3 on the weekends, so maybe that is why.

Same in Leon County
I have had the same problem where I hunt, between Leona and Flynn in Leon Cty. Saw alot of deer throughout October, but as soon as gun season opened they all seemed to disappear. A certain amount of that is expected every year, but this year has been ridiculous. I sat a stand yesterday, however, and saw more deer in 3 1/2 hours than I saw for all of November. Good luck.

I'll make my last hunt of the season this weekend. Same thing at my place, lots of shooting around me, but I'm not seeing anything! I've been on this place for two years. Last year was bad 'cause the weeds were so tall. I did pass on two legal bucks last year. I've seen one legal buck this year, but it was a 1.5 yo spike! Real frustrated with the area so far. I've heard a lot of good things from past seasons, but I've not experienced any yet. All of my deer seem to be nocturnal according to the camera.

This hasn't been one of our better years in San Saba. Usually we take 4 to 6 real nice shooters per year (10 people) and a number of culls and does but this year no one has shot anything worth bragging about. It has been a very slow and strange year indeed. Not even seeing much on the trail cams.
They need rain there in the worst way.
