If you are ever in Blanco early in the morning, try the donuts at the bowling alley. They are awesome when they are fresh out of the oven!

Who makes the best donuts in TX?

Donut Palace is good. But Best Donuts probably answers the question. Shipleys however has the best fresh glazed donut.

A warm glazed Shipley is hard to beat.
They can also be hard to come by....they are not always available.
Once a Shipley donut cools off it turns into a slimy stale ****.

The best Donuts I've had in the state was from a Donut Palace in Tatum Texas.
Southern Maid gets a solid nod for Houston
The Donut Wheel in Destin FL has the best sour cream donuts.

Better half got me a creme brulee donut from there last Sunday. It was weird, but pretty decent.

How can you eat so many and your figure not show?

And how do you keep the mold and bugs off them healthy snacks while they are stockpiled like that? Since you only partake of one per week.

They didn't have the bacon one when I went but they did have that. Owner talked me into it and he was right! My buddy hates sweets and he was with us, went back in and got himself one after trying mine

Funky Town Donuts in Fort Worth is pricey, but tastes amazing. Not a every weekend place, but definitely worth a visit.

Warm apple fritter will make you kick over tables as well.
