ducks all over the pool

    You should probably know that it's against both state and federal law for you to do that. However, I don't think you'll have to resort to that anyway. My mom has them in her pool most years and they never stay more than a few days once the ducklings are hatched. The ducklings are very precocial and will have to move move along to hunt bugs, etc. There's probably not enough hunting opportunities for them in your swimming pool or even in your yard. I bet they will move themselves to the pond you mentioned or to a nearby creek pretty shortly.

            I had a buddy that would do this all the time running trotlines below roosting trees. This was before it was illegal to do so. Man would he tear up the cats.

                  Just curious as to why its against the law, and i hope you are correct about them moving along shortly.

                            You were correct, i think they left today sometime, I can just see momma and 11 little ones walking down the busy streets of Southlake, hope they made it to one of the ponds around here, think i will do a little scouting to see if they did.
