Anybody else not flung an arrow yet?

Just wondering how many others have been skunked so far this deer season. We thought this was going to be a banner year at our lease in Callahan County. Our group has been letting 3.5 year old and younger bucks walk for many years in a row and we have zero acorn crop which we figured would have them hitting the feeders hard. We're getting a few trail cam pics at night but we've seen almost nothing moving in daylight hours, even during the rut. I'm just back from yet another weekend of seeing absolutely zilch - I started hunting trails instead of feeders a few weeks ago - still nothing. I don't think it's a matter of pressure - most weekends there's maybe 3 or 4 guys spread out over 1800 acres. I'm going to stay after it, maybe if the predicted cold snap arrives it will get them moving around. May just have to chalk to up to one of those "wierd years". Anybody else in the same boat?

yup i have flung five arrows.
missed a doe opening morning she ducked.
shot a 350 boar too low and lost blood jumped him and he chased after me.
    shot a monster axis
    a doe
and the 8 pt in my avatar
so far this has been my best worst season.
    best in seeing animals
    worst in shot judgement.
oh well i will be back at the lease in two weeks.
dad says no more white tails for me its his turn. but i can shoot all the hogs i want.
oh yeah my dad has killed a hog bobcat and a doe so far this season with his bow.

None with an arrow yet, I missed one 8 point with my recurve, and shot one doe with a rifle for some meat. Hopefully that will change because I get out of school wednesday and plan on hunting hard for 4 or 5 days.

Been real slow around here too, just little youngsters. I've been taking it out on hogs and coons KAP.

Big guy will show the last hour of the last day of season.

I flung one at a coyote, but haven't had a shot on a deer that I wanted to shoot yet. Just now really hunting hard for myself. I've been hunting with my son mostly. He's taken a buck and a doe so far this year, so I don't feel the pressure of an empty freezer.

I missed a good boar last night at 15 yards..my string has stretched and could not see through my peep then I had a self inflicted marauder issue. I was pretty upset last night as I watched my poor nock glowing in the ground.
That would be first hog I missed clean in years,

I Have not drawn my bow at an animal this year. We are just not seeing deer at the feeders or anywhere else. Now we do have plenty of hogs that come to the feeders. I'm a hog hunter now.

Killed 1 hog with the bow but no deer. This is the worst season for seeing deer I have seen in long time in east Texas. We have 15 doe permits but I hate to use any of them. Its almost like the deer have left.

                        Nothing here either.

Those tree-rats have crossed my mind several times though.

I've only got to hunt one weekend (got on my lease WAY late), but I still haven't seen anything that got me remotely close to picking up my bow.

I shot and wounded a doe opening weekend. After that I have not seen anything at my feeders as well. I had another shotless weekend as well.
