I think we're booked at the El Dorado in June. All inclusive adults only. This will be my first trip, so I'm not sure what's good or not or what to expect really.

I like the Riviera Maya area. Riu, Iberostar. Think we stayed at the Iberostar last year. They have a golf course on the resort so beer and food is all included on your rounds. Us guys would tee off at 7 every morning then meet the ladies at the pool about the time the pool bar was opening up! Made for a good vacation. I'll try to get the name of the last place we stayed. We got married at Riu Palace Riviera Maya. It was top notch too. I wouldn't hesitate to go to either one.

Depends if you want Pacific or Caribbean ...Caribbean we enjoy Tulum or Isla Mujeres and Pacific is usually Cabo but enjoy Puerta Vallarta as well. Isla Mujers our favorite is the Zoetry Villa , Tulum would be Dreams. Cabo would be Riu Palace or Pueblo Bonito Sunset. We like the Barcelo in Puerta Vallarta.

I've played golf all over Mexico and my suggestion would be to stay at the Riu Palace in Cabo and play at Quivira GC.

Barceló just south of Playa del Carmen. Actually has 4 resorts in one along with a premium resort (for the big spenders). Best beach in Riviera Maya. Check out www.unofficial-barcelo-maya.com for the lowdown from other guests. They run a lot of specials so sign up for the "My Barceló" program to get some good deals. Also, check out Sun Country Airlines if flying out of DFW. Best airfares and generally good flights.
