Deer hunting I usually just pick something durable/appropriate for whatever the weather happens to be. We have to wear blaze orange during any open firearms season, so that makes it a mute point. Don't move and game won't see you.

I always wear camo when hunting.
1- when weather permits its my warmest clothes.
2- I bow hunt primarily, so I wash in scent control and spray scent killer on them. Sitting in a tree, I prefer to blend in rather than not.
3- I spot and stalk regularly. Even if I sit in a box blind rifle hunting, I've done it many times where I see a buck or pigs cross the sendero and I bail out to chase them.
4- Because I look cool!! Not really, but I think that is the answer you are expecting.Originally posted by Smart View PostSo... if a fella's hunting clothes are camo and hunts outside a blind, should he wear regular everyday clothes to satisfy your odd infatuation about what men wear if he hunts in a blind too?
I having hunting clothes and I have everyday clothes. The hunting clothes are usually a little more durable. More comfortable and a lot more susceptible to tears, rips, stains etc in the woods. Why would I not wear them in a blind too? Too satisfy your fashion tastes? Bleep that. I'm not ruining my everyday clothes to hunt. I buy hunting clothes to hunt in. They are made for it and the elements I'm in... box, field or tree.... it don't make a **** where I am hunting.[emoji1303]
And for the record... I hunt in camo and black... In a box, I hunt in whichever is clean that day.
1. I don't want to get blood on my work clothes.

Quick story:
Years ago, before bows were screen printed with camo, a camo cloth "sock" was the common way of preventing the reflective glare from the bow limbs. Once such sock manufacturer had an ad which went something like, if you don't think those deer know what a bow looks like, you've got another think coming!
I sure didn't do it because I thought a deer knew what a bow looked like, but to cut down on reflected glare.

I hunt out of tri-pods nestled in some brush. Even though I have small shooting lanes that are just large enough to shoot out of, I would get busted if I wasn't wearing camo. I've been busted before for not wearing a face mask!! Camo is a necessity for me when hunting tripods. When I'm hunting one of my bow blinds camo is not a necessity.
