    Cooper Tires: ATP vs. AT3?

Does anybody run either of these tires? My F150 will need new shoes before too long. I want the most aggressive all-terrain I can get without the obnoxious road noise that true mud tires make. I had the ATPs on a work truck once and was impressed. My buddy just got a set of the AT3s and they look good. Any experience?

Side note: Is there any reason not to run E-rated (10-ply) tires on a half ton? I like the thought of extra thorn/nail protection.

    Thanks.

I have run the ATP on my Dodge 1500 for a while now, I'm impressed with them. Don't seem to be too loud, last for a while and have worked well in muddy conditions.

I run the ATP on my chevy 1500. Just switched from BF AT and I am impressed so far! Smoother ride I feel and not as bad on the pocket book.

St maxx is what I'm running, IF you can hear them at all it's barely noticeable.

I have the at3's on my 3/4 ton work pickup. I like them so far. Had them before on a diesel and really liked them. They are good for a lower priced tire.

This is my second set on my truck and my wife runs them on her burban. I never had any problem with traction or, getting out of a mud hole. Just like Forced2Work
, previously ran BF AT, good tires , but noisy

I have AT3's on my taco. Nice tires. Had a set on a 2500 dodge & really liked them on that truck too.

I ran ATP on my jeep. Loved them and all but they seemed like nail magnets.

I have the AT3's on my 2500HD. I have about 20k miles on them and they still look new. I'd highly recommend them

                      No comment on the AT3's,
but here are some ATPs on my F250 with over 51,000 miles on them now.
Never a tire issue in those 51,000 miles either.
                      I rotate around every
                      5000to 7500 miles.
I plan on buying them again.

I have Cooper ATP's going on 2 plus years on my Tundra. It's been a great tire with zero problems/issues at all. Don't lose air, ride quiet and smooth and do well in mud/gravel in 4wd. Last year I towed my travel trailer (27 ft) to Durango, CO during elk season and they performed flawlessly. I highly recommend them and my next set will be the same. Good luck. BTW, I bought mine at Discount Tire.

Have ATP on the tundra with 43k on them and still going strong. The wife picked something up on the road Monday and I had discount road hazard one. Great tires for the money IMO.

I recognize that tread. I haven't run anything but these in many years once the factory tires come off. Great tires.
