    Cooper Tires: ATP vs. AT3?

FWIW, I'm fairly certain the Cooper ATP is a Discount Tire only tire or at least it was back when I bought them in 2014.

I would like to add there was a thread last week ragging on discount tire, I had nothing really to add to the conversation until now.

Yesterday I noticed they scratched my wheel pretty good the last time they rotated and balanced my tires.

I email them a picture of the scratch and talked with the store manager.
Today they contacted me and said they are ordering me a new wheel.
Hard to argue with that kind of service.

    Here is the scratch-

I recently purchased a set for my F150 from Discount Tire. Stock size 275/65/18.

So far I like them. They are quite, ride smooth and they have either a 55k or 60k mile tread wear warranty. This is the second set of Coopers I've run and so far I've got about 600 miles on them and I'm happy with them.

I believe it is a Discount Tire exclusive.

Regarding Discount Tire - I initially bought a set of BFG AT's in 275/70/18. Load Range E. They price matched an online offer from 4WheelParts which was $239 a tire plus applying $70 towards the sales tax and $70 Visa gift card. DT's price was $240 and after price matching got the price down to $208. I didn't look before hand to see how heavy they were (almost 18 pounds per tire over the ATP and 23 pounds over stock and they quite a dent in my mpg. For the 1" of extra height they weren't worth it for the miles I drive. I called Discount and asked what my options were - at this time I had already put 700 miles on the tires that week. They said bring them in and they'll throw the ATP's on and refund me the difference. It was a few days before I could get in and I put another 500 miles on the tires. They didn't bat an eye and did the swap and refunded me the difference.

Their free air checks, rotations and balancing, great service and price matching make them the goto tire shop for me.

I have the atp's on a 13 ram 2500 they have been great tires more aggresive than the at3 imo..

I replaced the nitto terra and they seem to wear alot better than the nittos. Also no deviation in mpg and much cheaper..

I would by them again that is for sure

I have at3s on my f250, I've bought 2 sets. I've got them on the whole fleet at work too.
