Discount Tire finally ****** me off!

So after 15-20 years of great customer service I have finally been burned by Discount Tire! A couple of years ago I put brand new wheels and tires on my truck. I bought a set of Toyo AT II tires on my truck. Now, 21,000 miles later, I only have .001" left of tread wear left to normally have the 50,000 mile tread life warranty prorated for a new set of tires. Little guy at Discount tells me... oh those don't have a warranty at all because those are the Toyo AT II 129. The AT II has the warranty for 50,000 miles. I asked how the hell was I suppose to know there was a model that didn't have a warranty when it is all over their website that they have the warranty. He said it is in the product code, and if you don't ask, we don't tell you. I am a little ****** off right now, and may not ever go back. Why the hell would you sell me a tire with no tread life warranty and not mention that to the customer, and lead me to believe there is a 50,000 warranty?

    😡😡😡

I'm a tire fool. I buy a lot of trucks so I buy tires often. There must have been a pretty significant price difference in them warranty-less tires you bought. All this time you thought you were getting the best deal in 15-20yrs!

I have bought a ton of trucks and tires myself. I don't care what the price is. These tires were no different in price than anywhere else. I have been treated fairly by them in the past and never had a problem with them warrantying anything or fixing anything. Until now.

Similarly disappointed but for different reason. Waited 45 minutes for them to get to my car and had my TPS sensors replaced. They never finished the job by registering each sensor, so the indicator lists remained on. What would have taken less than 5 minutes of their time took more than 2 additional hours of mine.

Not quite sure where I'll take my business from here.

Like stated before - Go above the little fella.

Discount Tire used to be outstanding for customer service. They are still ok in most instances but have declined notably.

I'm willing to bet you will get satisfaction out of a talk with management.

This. If that doesn't work, start kicking over tire displays.

if they had it advertised with a warranty, they will make it right. Talk to the manager.

Throw a tire through the glass like the little old lady in the commercial. Heck if they can do it so can you. Lol. JK. Good Luck!!!

This is why I use my local tire shop. I'm not a number. I spend a little more but it's worth it to me

I buy my tires at the local Chevy dealership. They give better service and have better prices than so-called discount tire.

This is great unless you travel and need warranty service in another town.

As frustrating as Discount can be sometimes they really have no competition in the market.
