not real big into the non venomous snakes....they dont sale for much
And $2/pound is enough to risk dying for? On another note, many nonvenomous snakes sell for much more than any venomous, especially any venomous that you are going to find in the wilds of Texas.

That is a Texas Ratsnake (Elaphe obsoleta lindheimeri), the snake in question is a Great Plains Ratsnake (Elaphe guttata emoryi), a very close relative to the cornsnake of the Eastern US.
