Covert Code Black : Help please.

Changed batteries and now reads "No Sim". ???? Won't take pics.
I formatted card but no help. Tried FM update but won't connect. ????

Any advice/info appreciated.

Is the little sim card fully installed?(Not the sd card)

Get a Spartan! That's the only help I can give you. Never seen a thread started about Spartan malfunctions. Their is atleast 5 threads a week saying Help with my Covert Please!

you must not read much....I saw enough to make it a toss up while leaning towards the Spartan because of the HD pic... and I went with the Covert because of the batteries and solar systems are so much easier to deal with.

OP...I would pull the Sim card out and put it back in. Turn it back on and and try again. Saw where one guy had to do it three times and it took. Hopefully that helps.

C'mon Smart I've read every thread related to cellular trailcams. I've had Coverts and Spartans for 4 years , so I have a pretty good idea of what's works the best. I've got 4 Spartans and 2 Reconyx that have never gave me one issue. I can't say that about my Covert and what I've seen here on TBH. And to the OP it was me that had to insert my SIM card 3 or 4 times to get it to connect on my old covert. Good Luck!

You may need to do a hard reset on it. It seems like I had to do that on mine once.

Then you're not looking. There a few posts on here about how bad Spartan CS is.

Have a 2014 and a 2015 Covert and have had absolutely ZERO issues with either.

Soooo...I am biased because I researched both and found battery, AAs and external, consumption and charging issues with the Spartan and being 5 hours away, I found a Covert battery system via a TBHer that was successful and proven so I chose it and now I am biased?

I'm not trying to get the last word in old man....I'm just trying to say he made a claim that "he's read every thread about wireless trail cameras ever and there are no issues with Spartans " and that is simply just not true. I wouldn't have bought a Covert if the Spartan was flawless and easy to keep charged.
