My memory card has 15,000+ pics capacity, Class 10, Speed 200X. I'm at probably 50-100 pics since I started it up Sat night.

I asked Covert about RealTime today and they stated it won't have any effect on sending pics...just changing my settings....and since I have a solar charger with rechargeable batteries battery life is irrelevant. I switch it to an hour delay yesterday anyway and there were no changes in pic counts.

When it was here at my local pig spot, I had no issues with it being on RealTime or 1 minute intervals.....I got pics no problem. Signal was a little stronger though.

Another thing I would do is take it off real time commands once you get everything set. That may be an issue too if it is using signal strength to search for commands constantly.

I will only put mine on real time when I am there hunting so I can request pictures and change settings frequently. When I am gone, I switch it to an hour delay.
Hope so.....Its certainly worth a shot! Thanks

I noticed more pics coming thru and a shorter transmission speed to my app when I had it on REALTIME

I will always leave mine on real time now since battery life is irrelevant also

Yes. I'm just in a **** poor area for signal. Thats it... bottom line I'm in a hole at ground level.
It's wasn't consistent where I had it placed in the pen. The signal would go in and out.

So, I moved it 20 yards north and out from a big oak on the other side of the feedpen, moved the booster antenna up to 17' off the ground and it's been solid after I got it hooked up. I'm never over 20% signal but it sends me pics all day and night when something is in the pen.

Good deal. I found a bargain on a 2016 model Covert Blackhawk Model 5120 is there anything I should be concerned about buy the older ones?

Eneloops and solar panel sound like the ticket and I have good AT&T signal at the spot so I figure I do t need the booster kit.

Unfortunately I don't know anything about the blackhawks. Is that a wireless camera?

The solar panel and Eneloop AAs have been perfect for me. And yes if you have good signal, the stock antenna should be fine.

It's the Verizon version of the Covert Code Black.
