There is some really good stuff out there but I always seem to come home to Crown Royal.

If you can find it, it's seasonal - Jeffries Creek. It's a buffalo trace spin off but **** good stuff flies off the shelf at Twin Liquor

12 year old Weller is the unicorn find though. It's nonexistent

I thought the question was Favorite Bourbon but I am seeing a lot of wiskeys mentioned, along with some good Bourbons. That being said I just like a neat Wild Turkey 81 and a cold beer and all is well.

                    Favorite bourbon

Just picked this bottle up. Limited release TX I've been sipping on some Weller 12 mixed with Weller special reserve 107. Poor mans pappy.

                      Since some are mentioning whiskey...
Forty Creek is all I drink. Smith as a babies behind.

How is this? Heard it isn't worth the hype. I love the blended TX but no way I was waiting in a 5 hour line when the straight stuff came out

Haven't cracked it yet. I was hesitant as well but went ahead and snagged it. One review I read had this to say......

                            Proof: 82

                            Appearance: A bright glowing auburn.

Nose: Soft vanilla. Hints of smooth orange honey and pecan.

Taste: Subtle and sublime. Notes of butterscotch. Cinnamon. Scalded sweet cream butter. And clover honey. Delicious. No burn. No bite. Finish is mellow and smooth. It simply, slowly dissipates off the tongue and elegantly disappears. Darn near perfection.

                            Conclusion:

Simple—this is a great whiskey, but a dangerous one. Dangerous because it goes down so smooth, you’ll be down half a bottle before you realize it. Yes, it’s that good. And I don’t care what people say about Texans, or what Texans say about themselves and their state—all you need to know is Firestone & Robertson TX Blended Whiskey is delicious. Get some. Wa-hoo!

                            FINAL SCORE: 94/100

I ain't telling. Y'all will start buying it and then the price goes up and then I either can't find it or can't afford it anymore. Trust me it's great.

As soon as I find it on shelves I'm definitely gonna grab a bottle I just wasn't excited enough to sit at he distillery on launch day.

Went by specs today and the guy recommended belle meade so we'll see how this is. He says it is similar to Blantons...
