Looks like a catalytic converter on a '04 Nissan Xterra.
I actually have no clue.

According to google images:
Image size:
412 × 237
No other sizes of this image found.
Best guess for this image: training and development icon

Dan the Man!!
I have been trying to find this symbol on a legend that says it is a Flame Arrestor.
A flame arrestor is out in the field, however it just doesn't match the symbols that I am finding for a Flame arrestor. I need these P&IDs correct.

Maybe look at some P & CD symbols or even some analyzer process.

Looks like large vessel with a pup and flange on the left, pup and flange on right that connects to piping with slip on flange.
The small Chingos on the top maybe steam traps.
Let me go try to find my QA/QC Weld inspector, she might know better.

I'm betting the guy that drew it didn't know either. If he walked it down, he just drew what he saw because he didn't know what it was.
What's around it?
It looks like the left side might be coming off a vessel, and the right side goes to pipe.

Would help to know the process and maybe see more of the drawing, i.e. Surrounding piping and equipment.

Anybody's guess. Many P&ID symbols are like statistics. 90% of them are made up on the spot.

Client should have a symbology chart. Could be a flame arrestor, static mixer, pulsation dampener, who knows...........
