I have a 12 Ram and my EGR valve went out at 62k miles with 4 months left on an extended warranty. Warranty didn’t cover the EGR valve so it’s now deleted. I used a Sinister delete kit with a race me tuner. Dodge house wanted 2200 to replace the valve and clean some other junk. My truck has to be about 200 pounds lighter now that all that junk is gone! Not to mention it runs much better. I set the tuner on tow mode, which adds 40hp, until I have time to stud it.

Not looking forward to DEF for the next 300k.

What is different about the new Chevy to change this?
serious question

Just ran my first full tank of fuel post deletes. I ran on the 60HP setting. This is with mixed driving and a little playing here and there.
Previous to deletes average tank would get 460-480 miles.
Post delete I got 593 miles on the dot.
This represents a ~3 mpg increase over my average in 2 years of driving the truck.
This is on a 2012 Cummins which is known to respond favorably to deleting. I wouldn’t expect to see comparable gains on a 2013+ Cummins that uses DEF.
I can’t speak for Duramax or Powerstroke.

I’ve got about 500 miles on my 17’ F-350 post delete. This thing is a monster. I’m running the No Limit EGR delete (block off plates), Flo Pro 4” delete Pipe, and EZ Lynk module. Due to the awesome customer service after a screw up on No Limit Diesel’s part, I’m running a few different tunes. I ordered the EZ Lynk with PPEI support pack, but they sent me the EZ Lynk with Tyrant support pack instead. I realized the mistake at about 10pm in a Saturday night, so I ran Tyrant tunes for the weekend, then called Monday morning and they set me up with the PPEI pack that I originally paid for, and I got to keep the Tyrant loaded on my module. In my current configuration I’m running PPEIs TCM tuning, and Tyrants tow tune. Man this an amazing combination. Shift points are on point. I ran the Tyrant tune without PPEI TCM tuning for a little bit, and the transmission tuning really dialed it in.
It’s all been City driving so far, but I’ll put some miles on the highway this weekend. My mileage is up slightly, but I’ve been driving considerably quicker. I expect to see a solid 2 mpg increase driving normal, and I’m running 37s.
