          Keep it man. It makes for a great story telling. That's what we did when I shot my finger in the kitchen. When I got the shell casing back from the police my dad just stuck it in the hole in the wall so that most of the casing is still sticking out. Every time company is over someone ask about it and we get to tell the story all over again...... In your case it could be about battery safety.

            Friend of mine had put one in his tool box and left the lease. He pulled up to the station to get fuel and thought he smelled smoke coming from his tool box. Well he lifted to lid and the oxygen ignited a paper towel on fire. He was very lucky he was pumping diesel and not unleaded. Battery had slid against box, shorted out against paper, and caught fire.
