So I get home from the lease and throw my backpack on the dinning room table. One of those green military packs. Of course my wife gripes, but I tell her I'm going to unload it in a little bit and will move it before dinner.
Fast forward about an hour later, we are all watching TV in the living room. All the sudden we here a loud pop from the dinning room. My wife was like "was that a gun?" I said na, but got up to go check. I walk around the corner and there in the middle of the dinning room table is my backpack engulfed in flames. I grab it and throw it on the floor, hardwood, and start stomping out the fire. All the while thinking there are more bullets in there.
The key to this story is I had taken a six volt battery to the lease, in case I needed it. Turned out I didn't. Somewhere along the way I threw a couple 7 MM Mag bullets into the same pocket. One of the bullets rolled against the batter and touched the positive and negative. Heated up and went boom. lol
Total damage, a burnt spot on the dinning room table and on the hardwood floor. Also the table has a indention that perfectly matches the primer end of a 7MM Mag bullet. The bullet itself made it to the kitchen, no damage.
Needless to say my wife is rethinking this whole hunting situation.
