I've been checked at gas stations (not necessarily Buccee's)...they are just doing their job but I agree sometimes it's an inconvenience when you are trying to get home.

They do have cheap ice though, not a lot of places you can get 20lb bags for 99 cents.

You obviously have not had their turkey tenderloin.

there is a whole section in the state of Texas regs about when they can search and what they can search.
I believe... I may be wrong, but... they can search ice chest when you are not on the road or ROW. If you are on the road...i.e pulled over, I don't think they can look in your ice chest without your permission.

I believe the regs are in section 12. sub section "D" has the exceptions in it.

Do game wardens have search powers above and beyond that of other peace officers? Yes they do, in some circumstances. P&W Code Section 12.102 (enacted in 2003) codified some of the myths. The biggie here is that it allows game wardens to inspect the contents of any container or receptacle that is commonly used to store or conceal wildlife. Obviously, an "inspection" under authority of this statute can be a "search" within the meaning of the state and federal constitutions. To exercise this search/inspection authority, the warden need only believe the person is or has been engaged in a regulated activity (usually hunting, fishing, or trapping). The warden need not have RS or PC to believe the person is violating the law before conducting an inspection. The statute specifically excludes residences and temporary residences from its reach, as well as vehicles on public roadways.

In a perfect world we wouldn't need LEO's. It ain't a perfect world. People who do this kind of stuff are who they are looking for.

yes I have.. try the cajun turkey jerky at Praseks or the peppered turkey jerky at JR's and get back with me... be honest which one is better.

anyone know what that white stuff on the jerky is at Buccees? Last time I was in there some of the meats had white stuff on the outside of them.. like a powder, or mold.

Filling in the hunting log is a hard one to remember, I actually forgot to even tag a deer this rear until I got home. Just got busy & forgot . That was an eerie feeling after the 2 hour drive to pull in the driveway & remember.
