Did anyone else see the GW's checking icechests at the Buccee's in Luling on Saturday? They checked everyone that pulled in to get gas or food and had a icechest in the back of the truck or trailer.

Seems like a great place to me. I saw one last night when I was headed out of the woods at a STOP sign and figured he might pull me over but he didn't. Reminder - Reminder - Reminder! Don't forget to fill out the back of your license when you tag a deer. Not sure what the fine is but I don't want to find out.

I went through there this afternoon and I can say that game wardens would have had a hard time finding a parking spot!

Came through there Saturday around noon but didn't see anything but some idiots. They should have parking lot police keeping the idiots moving. Some idiot parked their surburban right in the middle and walked in. Everyone was having to drive all around it. If I knew I wouldn't have gotten in trouble I would have drug it down I-10.

Not trying to come down on Game wardens but another LO told me that now they were like any other LO and had to have probable cause. Does any one know if it's true?

Had one check us in Big Lake one year coming back from mule deer hunting. It didn't take as long as getting a warning from a regular officer.

The probable cause would be if they suspected you had been hunting. That's good enough.

i was there sat. (just live 2.5 miles down the road) and they were looking hard, was kinda fun to watch.

the penalty for not filling out the back of your liscense is 500.00 first offense if i remember correctly.

My friend has been checked twice in the last two weeks. She was checked when she pulled into a gas station in Lampasas and then a second time at a processor in Conroe, TX. They are definetly out doing their job!
