I am Mexican, I live in Monterrey. Our problem is not the USA, each country is at liberty to do what it thinks best for its citizens, that should be an obligation of the government.

We, The Honest and hardworking citizens want a better government for Mexico, unfortunately the political class is too empowered in my country and they themselves block the changes in many many ways that would benefit ordinary people. I assure you we are fighting for that changes, It is hard, but is going to be done.

Yes, there are many issues that have to be solved on both sides of the border, even the majority comes out from our understanding and we are not going to solve it in a hunting forum, I believe that the two countries can and must cooperate to solve the problems and not blame each other for the bad things that happen to ours country, not all the persons in Mexico are rapers or drug dealers as not all the persons in the USA are drug addicts.

As for the free trade agreement, if it finally cancels, the country most affected would be Mexico, no doubt, but each and every one of the Citizens of the three countries involved would be affected in a greater or lesser extent. In my opinion, NAFTA should be re-negotiated, we must remember that the treaty has been operating for 23 years, global conditions have changed, and while each country must seek the greatest benefit for itself, we must also consolidate the North American region ( USA, Canada and Mexico) as the strongest commercially speaking.

The wall... It just going to be a unnecessary expense, that is not going to stop the ilegals and drugs traffic From Mexico to the USA nor the traffic of guns or cash of the USA to Mexico... Who is going too pay for it?? First The USA Taxpayers, and then in other way or another, the Mexican Taxpayers From my point of view the wall is a lose - lose situation.

Russia... We are a sovereing country, we dont want and not need Russian launchers in our country, we have enough internal problems to solve as for think in a war with any country.

I hope no one get insulted with this that I just Wrote, Just my opinion.
No one should be insulted by that. No one here dislikes Mexico, we just dislike the way our govt and yours has handled things for the last 25 years or so. It has cause both of our countries unnecessary violence and turmoil and needs to be fixed.

Looks like Mexico isn't taking too kindly to Trump's plan, so now Trump plans to impose a 20% tax on goods from Mexico.

Should be interesting, but I mostly see the cost of these goods just going up 20% so we end up paying it anyway.

It doesn't look like Trump is trying to make any friends down south.

Sounds great. If I have to pay you to be my friend, I don't want you as a friend. As cheap as labor is in Mexico there is no possible way the U.S. Could ever come out ahead with free trade. Welcome home jobs!

Not to mention the last bottle of tequila I had did not have worm, the breakfast tacos seam to be getting smaller and the quality of piñata's has gone to hell.

An ally that has a hell of a lot more to lose than we do. That's called leverage. Trump knows how to use it.

I do not see Mexico as an ally. More as an opportunist.

Good point. How many soldiers did they send in the last few conflicts?

Anyone ever watch Red Dawn...that was Russia and Cuba.

I think it's more likely we would side with Russia and go take over all of South America and be done with it. I wonder what we'd call it? Just make it all South Texas? I heard Disney was thinking about opening a new park down there WHEN this happens.
