    Side by Side advice please.

family keeps growing and we have out grown out Polaris Ranger 900 Single Cab. I am looking into getting a larger Side by Side ( six seater) and was wanting to see what everyone else has and likes. I have no problems with Polaris just checking around. Also gas or diesel?

    Budget would be 18K.

    Thank you

I own a Ranger single seat and have worked out of both Rangers and Mules. I hunted out of one of the new Mule FX 2 seaters last year for a week. It has a lot more room than Rangers has and was a smooth ride. The Mule is built as well or better with a much larger bed than the Ranger. Not as fast as the Ranger but as much power. The ranch used to have several 2 seat Rangers. I asked the ranch why they switch to Mules. They said hands down a better machine as far a breakdowns and repairs. Bought one mule to try at first and after 6 months bought 4 more Mules then sold the Rangers. Said they hardly ever have any breakdowns with a Mule. IIRC they were all gas.
My next UTV will be a Mule when I decide to sell mine.

I am picking up Ranger 570-4 midsize this week. I really like that I can carry 4, but didn't want a full-size. I had some trouble in the tighter spots turning around in the six-seaters, almost the same size as a truck.

Also, I liked the top speed and power of the 570. Price is about $11k out the door ...

depends on your planned use - if on flat ground and just to cruise around then polaris is fine. If you plan to work the buggy in harsh conditions like mud, dust, etc dont go with polaris. I have owned three rangers and the quality has gone downhill. Go Mule or Kubota IMO

I'll be picking up a mule pro fxt ranch edition in a week or two. Have looked at all of them till I'm blue in the face and think this is the best available.

I would have pulled the trigger on a kubota last night but the sales manager told me they have a 25 mph top speed. Too slow for me.

I've got a 2010 Ranger Crew. No problems at all. Bought it brand new. I can't say enough good about it. I don't know anything about the reliability of the newer ones. A buddy of mine just bought s can am defender hd8. It seems like a good machine. Quiet, smooth riding, plenty of power. I had a cam an 4 wheeler before the Ranger and never had a problem work it. The Rotax engine is strong and reliable.

It will be a hunting machine as well as a farm machine. It will be exposed to every element Texas has to offer.

Try my nephew, Michael Geeslin, at Hoffpauir Polaris in Goldthwaite. He will treat you right. They have a website and also deliver. They also just became a can-am dealer. Lots to choose from. Tell him uncle Mark said to give him a call.

That kubota diesel will pull like a tractor. You can add a 3 point hyd lift to the back also
