      Congratulations! Very nice buck. My wife and I went to Circle B Ranch, back in January, and I really wanted to get me a nice axis. I harvested and axis doe, but no buck. We saw several nice bucks, but they wouldn't let me shoot one in velvet. Best meat I've ever eaten.

          Thanks! I have been thinking about what he would have finished out at. Now that I have one in velvet, I'm going to wait until they're hard horned before I shoot them

            I asked a lot of questions about preserving the velvet. He told me his whole process, and it sounds like a Pain in the butt. He said that he'll get it done right, and it will last. It probably helped that it was in the 30's the whole way home from the lease
