Does anyone remember the Texas Q102 radio station?

I think they played some kind of tribute electric guitar music for SRV in the late or mid nineties. Sounded amazing, I thought. Never have been able to find it.

I remember The ZEW's Labella and Rody in the morning. "Walter from Waco" and "Hunt James".

I remember when the KZEW started. Then Q102 came along and put them out of business. Before the ZEW, as coop said, it was pretty much KFJZ on the AM. I do remember discovering FM radio when I was about 13. There was a really cool station that eventually became KZEW. All the UT Arlington college kids were listening to it before it became KZEW. I don't remember a single commercial back then, just music. But once KZEW became popular the commercials started.

They started calling KQXT in San Antonio KQ102.
Definitely not rock, thought. Easy listening.

Seen that on KERA awhile back, before my time but interesting. I barely remember Q102 in the late 90's remember Lex and Terry were on during morning drive. Grew up on KEGL though, that was a dark day when they changed format for a few years mid-2000's.

I was digging through a box of old stuff earlier today and ran across a couple old Q Cards. Q102, KZEW and I remember when KEGL became the Eagle. Before the Eagle it was Z97.
