Does anyone remember the Texas Q102 radio station?

Went off the air in 1998. I grew up listening to that station and loved it. Some of the employees worked out at a building in Cedar Hill.

Their radio competitor was KZEW (the Zoo) right?

That was back when you could listen to the radio and they would actually play good music.

Yep. Seemed like a different planet back then.

I remember a TV commercial they had. There was an Indian with his ear to the ground. Someone asked "what are you listening to?" He replied, "Q-1-0-2"

Yep, lost more hearing there than probably any other time in my life. I went in 85' and 86'.

85- 89 (Monsters of Rock) for me. And I still hate Boston (86) to this day for playing that awful album from go back. Terrible. Areosmith and Whitesnake were good though.
