Assuming good arrow flight,(straight), this is a mystery.
The Rage 3 blade should have had NO problems.
I am pretty close to that same KE and I shoot the 3 blades and have no problems with pass throughs or the rage broadhead.

I took a chance with the rage after all the good reports. The practice point flew perfect, so my confidence was up. First shot on a deer went about 12inches left and not a lot of penetration and no blood. I'm just glad I didn't try them out on a trophy. Went back to STs.

I have been a Rage 2 Blade fan since I started using them when they came out. This weekend I lost my first ever animal out of the 37 that I have shot with my bow. My only explanation to what happened is broadhead failure. The day before I shot a 210 lb boar and burried the arrow to the fletchings. However on the buck I only got 12" or so of penetration. I will be going back to the Magnus Buzzcuts that I have never had a problem with until I have a problem with them. successfull bowhunting is all about confidence for me. I no longer have confidence in the Rage heads

Seems to blades are only good for one shot. Anyone else coming to this conclusion?

I couldn't tell you because I don't try to use the blades after they have been shot. I ALWAYS put new replacement blades on them and sharpen them. So that was for sure not my problem

I am with you on the confidence thing for sure. I just seem to keep going back the thunderhead 100 grains. Just seem hard to beat for the money.
