Oeaux had said a long time ago that he was going to pay his coaches top dollar. So, if you want to continue thinking that anyone that spurns UT only did so because of money that is your prerogative.

Wait so they tore up his current contract with two years left on it to sign a new one while giving him a 33% raise. Man, Coach O is awesome!
Gonna finish up all the Christmas decorations, make some smoked links to put in the freezer, and maybe watch some games. Glad O is staying an Aranda as well. Now bring on a good OC and end the 1 dimensional offense in BR and all will be right with the world!!
"Bedlam" should be a great contest! Two really good quarterbacks in Rudolph and Mayfield, two of the best receivers in the country in Washington and Westbrook, and the Big 12 title is on the line. My Pokes' have discovered an effective running game in the last few weeks - even with the home field, I am surprised the Sooners are favored by double digits . Forecast is calling for cold and rainy - looking forward to an epic battle!

LMAO. I didn't even remotely suggest that. Was genuinely curious what raise he got as I assume it will somewhat set the bar for what UT will ultimately pay whomever. Seems the whole Herman situation has you a bit touchy.

I hope Arranda likes gettin' paid in IOUs and crawfish...
happens to all schools , just sucks when it affects your favorite team
LSU , ULL , and other programs have dismissed kids with incredible talent on the field, but zero common sense when it comes to life decisions
Cecil Collins at LSU was a prime example ... kid could have easily contended for the Heisman, instead he was dismissed from the team and ended up serving 13 yrs in prison for burglary and being a "peeping tom"
only played in 3 games and ran for 600 yds. ... had he played for 3-4 yrs, he would likely still own all the LSU rushing records
Cecil was an unbelievable talent.
When I try to put together an All Injury team at BAMA I always put Kerry Goode (1984) at the top of the RBs. In fact I believe he is the best RB we ever had. The only problem was he completely blew out his knee after 3 quarters
He now is suffering with the effects of ALS. The photo below is of Kerry and Kevin Turner. KT died this Summer and had been diagnosed with ALS but later his Drs. said it was actually CTE.

Never was for Herman. Said it before on this site. He is a good coach. But, his style would not fit at LSU. He fits much better at UT and the big 12.
Besides.... he knows the talent that is there and would much prefer to compete in the best conference and best division in football with a 33% raise and change in title.
