    Concrete slab cost?

What's a estimated cost of a 12x28 slab now? Haven't priced any in years. Of any does concrete work on the Gainesville / Sherman area, let me know

    Concrete slab cost?

I just poured a 40x45. $95 per yard plus steel. Was told $2.50-3.50 sq.ft. to form, tie steel, pour and finish depending on how much dirt work had to be done.

I've had 2 slabs poured in the last month and one was $10.40 a square foot and the other was $11.80. As small as yours is, I would think it would be about 12 to 13 dollars a foot.

Heck for those costs I will suck it up and pour my own.

$9-$12 in the Austin area I pour daily. I can't pour for less than $8 and highly advise anyone paying that to really check just how your contractor can pour for that cheap. You are not getting a good deal in the end as I cannot see how anyone can pour for that cheap and do a quality job.

I can prepare a form with rebar, pour and finish a slab and do it well enough for most purposes. But I will live on pain killers and ice packs for a few days afterwards.

I'm sure I could too but I'm going to let my guys do it instead. I feel it is more important to get a great quality foundation to build on over saving a few bucks.

just poured one where I subcontracted everything --- moderately deep footings, all steel (no mesh).

Still cost us almost $9.00 a foot.....

Too many variables. Conventional rebar slab? Size of grade beam. Any spread footings? Slab thickness? Etc. Best to get quotes based on your local area.

I'm no concrete guy but 12x28 sounds like flat work not slab work. Is it a patio or something? If so, no beams or rebar are needed, just a decent base of sand. My buddy just got his 5000 sq foot slab done for $6.75 a ft. His brother works at redimix so he got a deal on the 4000 psi concrete though.

I just got a 1000sq ft poured with perimeter and cross beams for $6500.

But I got quotes from $5000-$17000
