Not the taxi's fault. Will have to come out of your pocket.

Don't hang things in the garage and I would probably take your bow out of the garage also. Heat typically isn't good for mounts and bows.

But you know there are folks who don't read the whole thread and just answer the original questions right? You have been on here long enough to know that.

        My bad Smart, you're right.
I didn't like the question he asked so I pushed back a little.
Didn't mean to make anyone feel un-special. I was laughing in my head as I typed it while thinking about Ron White's skit "Ever forget something? Happened to me"
He could've actually wanted to know who would do such a thing and I guess my post and pictures of the deer weren't enough evidence to point all the arrows in my direction. So I'll try to answer it again and more politely as to not ruffle anymore feathers.

"Why mount a deer and hang in garage?"

Happened to me. Nice to know there are those out there who have never screwed up before.

Thanks for all the input folks.
I think I've seen the error of my ways.
hanging it in the garage or asking the green screen ?????

Your mount may have eventually went to sh*t, but being in your garage sped the process greatly. heat and humidity will ruin even the best of mounts.

Maybe you need a snickers this morning.

I didn't call anyone an idiot. My question was just that, a question. Not a personal attack of any kind. I'm merely wondering spending 4,5 800 bucks on a mount to let texas heat and humidity kill it. Replacement of a 10 year old mount cause you have a new bigger deer ok.

Like smart said, don't be so sensitive.

Then I suggest you ask what you really want to ask.

Had I known what would've happened to the mount, do you still think I would've had it in the garage?

And to answer your question, I guess I'm an idiot....
And it looked pretty awesome hanging on the back wall of my garage.

Pretty sure that's exactly what I did. It's even in the English language. Followed by a question mark. Not a code or swahili.

Why would anyone keep a deer mount in their garage?

Im sorry about your deer mount but I have to say this thread made me chuckle a few times.

Yep, Humidity ruins a lot of mounts..

Is it just the one ear? It can be fixed. Might not look 100% but probably not noticeable at 10' away.

It's both ears. But this one is worse.
I'll probably touch it up the best I can with what I have and leave it where it is.
All you can see is that rack from the street anyways.
It sucks, but I learned a lesson.

Maybe if I get a buddy to set with him, I'll have him redone and put them back in the house where they belong.
