He was up front with me about the tannery jacking up the hide and offered to replace it for free at the time. That says a lot about his character so I respect him for his efforts. It was more my fault in not taking him up on his offer, and not knowing how to take proper care of the mount that led to its current state.
My wife didn't want it in the house, and I thought it looked great on the back wall of the garage. So that's where it's been. My fault. I'm not fancy enough to own leather jackets so I don't know how to take care of those either. I didn't realize the damage it would cause just from being in the garage.
