Thoughts on the Bowtech General?

I wish that people knew me well enough to know that I don't sugarcoat anything.
The '09 lineup from Bowtech is so impressive,( after the General scared me), I terminated my Mathews dealership today.

friend got a general and we can not find anyone around here to set it up. The press at the local shop apparently won't work

Quiet but slow. Get the Alliegance(sp) it's a great starter bow. The Tom Cat is a good starter also at a good price.

I have an allegiance and love it. It is plenty fast for me as I have taken 2 deer this year one at 39 and one at 40 yards withh a one pin site. I did not compensate for the distance and hit both deer dead on. The only reason this bow would be considered a starter bow now is because it is a few years old and you can probably get a good deal on one. When it came out it was top of the line. I have the speed cams on and it is plenty smooth for me.

Last time I check 320fps was not all that slow.

The Tomkat was replaced by the Sniper....much better performer IMO. Still has a good price as well.
