Acadamy sells a chair specifically for a blind. The base has 4 metal legs and it accepts the boat type seat with the swivel on them. You can also just buy the base part at Sportsmans warehouse. They are great if you are not moving your blind around very often.......

I'm too old to have much of a problem in that area...

I have the academy boat type seat that is perfect. It swivels, is quiet, and pretty comfortable. I would highly recommend it. It beats any of the canvas fold-out type by a mile!

I just took a bunch of nice comfy offic chairs out of my office and use them in my pop up blinds.

I have been using one that is the same as the double bull chair and that is good for an hour then my legs hurt. I was thinking about the director type chair. Thanks for your suggestions everyone.

I bought a couple chairs from mumme's. They're black swivel with conduit type legs and a plastic base around the bottom. They're the best I have found. Not very portable, but perfect for permanent or semi-permanent ground blinds. Not cheap. About 69.99 a piece.

I had one like that and threw it away. Had to be the most uncomfortable seat I ever sat in....The boys were happy it was gone.

I am too heavy for those cheap little fabric chairs.

I have a 5 gallon bucket from walmart upside down with a tripod seat mounted to it. It is quiet, swivels 360 and holds my big butt up at just the right height.

In Mason, ryan made some little metal frames and bolted the tripod style seats to them. They work well too.

I use the cheap plastic lawn chairs. No noise, back support, scent free and did I say cheap!

I have designed a chair that I think would be the cat's meow. But I just need to have it made. It will be portable, height adjustable, w/ a swivel seat. I am trying to make it light weight but won't know until the final product.
