I had a pile of handcorn in my thicket the past two days that took 797 pics. ALL BUT ONE deer were bucks.
They cruise through and grab a little corn and then be gone for a couple hours. At least 13 different bucks with 4 being over 5 years old. Funny though that they didnt quite clean up 50 lbs even with that many deer coming.
Do you not have a hog problem? No way I could do that and not have hogs dang near sleeping in my corn.

Starting to heat up in Walker county. I am getting pics of nice bucks around does in the middle of the morning and around noon. The upcoming cool front should really help.

The pics are NO where around feeders.

Reminds me of an old joke:

An old bull and a young bull were standing on a hill overlooking a valley full of cows. The young bull says "Dad let's run down there and **** one of them!" The old bull says "No, son. Let's walk down there and **** them all."

I won't be back in Trinity till probably Thanksgiving, so that I've likely missed the primary rut is ok. Things in Anderson County are about to get ripe. The next 2 - 3 weeks ought to be prime.

28 days after the first big frenzy(21st-24th) should have a huge wave of bucks on hot does. Here in my part of the county, we had so many does in at once that the bucks had a hard time covering them. The does that didnt take or didnt get bred will come in again. More competition for less does equals lots of buck movement.

That is good to know, thank you. That should be about the time I get out there so hopefully they'll be back on their feet.
