    Ram 2500 leveling kit questions

Anyone running a 2.5 leveling kit on a 4th gen ram 2500? I installed a Hell Bent Steel 2 spacer on my 2011. It drives just like it did stock, however It's still not level so I'm thinking about putting a 2.5 on it. My question is do I need an adjustable track bar or any other components with the 2.5?

    Thanks, Case

I would find a dodge ram forum and do some reading. when I read up on my level kit on 2011 1\2 ton the lift that make the truck level had small issue and wear stress on other parts so I went with 2". Did a lift kit second time around.

I did one on my 2012. 2.5" ready lift. It's not completely level but it's more than it was, I've got a Cattleman replacement on there so that might pull it down just a tad. I did not put any other aftermarket stuff on and have seen no issues. Prob 2 years at least on it.

You are good to go with a 2.5'' kit. Just accelerates wear on all the front end components is all. But, you were already doing so with the 2''. I don't think that extra bit is going to make much of a difference in that aspect vs. the 2''.

If you ever need ball joints, sway bars, tie rods I would switch those to Carli.

Ok thanks for the advice guys. It's got a brand new sway bar and tie rod ends so they should be good for a while.

I'm firmly in the full coils instead of spacers camp. But with 2.5", you don't "need" an adjustable track bar. I put a set of 2.5 T-Rex (predecessor to KORE) coils on my 04 Dodge Cummins and I never had an issue in the 12 years I owned it. But I could tell that the wasn't centered left to right under the truck. But if you didn't know what you were looking for, you'd never notice it.

Good stuff right there. Them and Carli are industry leaders for Dodge products in the leveling kit market

When I do mine I'll use the Thuren springs, adjustable track bar and front shocks. I think it's $860 shipped. Quite a bit more than the $200 spacers but better ride quality and my axle will be centered up front. I also have a full front replacement on my 3500 so I hope I'm not disappointed with the leveled height.
