Man that's tough to hear. I just had a dog go through some auto immune issues, and spent a lot of money to get her better. I hope you have the same luck! Just hang in there

Need to get those dogs into snake avoidance training!
I did the snake training back in June, paid off last night.Dogs pointed one out to me in the backyard, they didn't get closer than 5 yards to it. Keeping my fingers crossed for them.

Pup seams to be doing better this afternoon. No bad signs as of yet. Only thing that seams to be doing worse is the actual bite. It is slowly getting a little bigger and nastier looking. Will be back at vet first thing in morning. Should have more updates by then.

And then dogs that receive so much care barely make it.

I would like to tell you that based on my past experiences you are worrying too much about the lab but I can't, I have been in the same spot with my Lacy and it worried me sick! Prayer up!
same we did with our beagles but that was in water moccasin territory.

I believe the manufacturer of the vaccine stated "some" vets noted "some" possible benefit. I do believe the snake proofing is well worth it and will do a refresher with my labs again next year. Not a fun day for my dogs but hopefully will prevent a bite (and might warn my wife on their walks that trouble is near)....

Probably need to do that still. He has been bit 3 times and almost 5 years old. Swelling, benedryl and 2-3 days of barely moving. Then back after everything that moves. But my beagle is good and crazy!
