I would like to tell you that based on my past experiences you are worrying too much about the lab but I can't, I have been in the same spot with my Lacy and it worried me sick! Prayer up!
My vet told me that sometimes the real damage from rattlesnake bites won't be seen for 2-3 days. The venom breaks down the red blood cells.

Update
Didn't sleep much last night, you could tell he was extremely uncomfortable and in pain. He is back at the vet and hooked up to an IV again. Being filled with lots of meds to calm him down and hopefully rest. Vet says we should have a good idea of how it's going around lunch. At this point he likes the way everything looks but said you still can't be sure yet. Still swollen but most of it has moved down into his neck, which is supposed to happen. If all goes as planned we will get to bring him home for good this afternoon. And keep him non active for the next week and laid up as much of possible.
Thank you all.

Hang in there man. I had a 17 yr old dog get bit multiple times and survived it w/out antivenin he was in dog hospital for a week, but he eventually came thru even though it looked like he wasn't going to make it. In fact the day after they told me he probably wasn't going to make it they called and said he's good to come home.
Aint over till it's over is what I'm sayin

Ben Glenn had a female Lacy that was bit and it took her a several weeks to recover. I made arrangements to get one of her next pups. Then she was bit a second time a couple of months later (about 3 weeks after he bred her) and it killed her.

Update
Just talked with Vet. He has not made any improvements as of yet. Still weak and looks pitiful. He suspects an autoimmune issue from venom and antivenom. Leaving the IV in place for the rest of the day. We will pick him up this evening and have to have him back first thing tomorrow morning. Directions are to take him straight to ER if he starts vomiting, passing blood, or can't walk.
2 steps forward and 1 step back, hopefully there is good news in the future. Really need him to come along this evening.
