Mule Pro FXT lift and wheels/tires question

So I've got my ranger sold and I've pretty well decided I'm going to go with a mule fxt this time. It seems to naturally sit higher than the ranger crews so it might not need to be lifted. My previous ranger crew had a 2.5" lift on it and had good ground clearance but the stock ranger crews seem low to me.

So for those that have them did you lift them or no? Secondly I'm considering adding some aftermarket wheels and tires and that would partly depend on the lift. If I lifted it I'm sure I would want 28" tires. Even if I don't lift it I think I would want an upgrade on at least the wheels. I'm just doing the standard camo unit that comes with the plain black wheels. Would want to upgrade those either way.

So what's yalls opinions on these? Ideas welcome on anything else about it too. Going to do a roof and front end replacement from a place in Fort Worth. Triple C welding is the name of it.

I am about to get the ranch edition, think I am going with a 4 inch Catvos lift with 14 x 30 inch tires.

I bet that's going to be a pretty nice rig but I'm more going for hunting/utility rather than off road trail riding an whatnot. I'd like to see if maybe just a slightly bigger tire may give me an extra inch or without doing a lift but want to avoid any rubbing or other issues. Anyone else?

You do not have to lift it. You can buy bigger rims and tires without a lift kit plenty of clearance

Cool I appreciate it. Any recommendations on tires and wheels? I'm guessing 27" tires will be my limit without a lift?

Love mine!!! I put a 2" lift on mine, but it seems its a lot more than 2". Went with 28x14 ITP Blackwaters they are tough. Drove through some bad stuff and no leaks yet. Triple c roof and a tough country front end replacement.

^^^ I'm intending to do the same roof and bumper. I really want to run 28's but I'm not sure if I want to do a lift or not. I also really want to get the soft doors for the winter but I wonder if they will work with the roof. Might just have to buy them and try em. Anybody have those? I like the look of those wheels and tires.

Correct, 28" will NOT fit without a lift. I was told that they would.

I have to figure out a back window but otherwise should be easy to enclose it for the winter and take it off for the summer. John at Triple C welding said to the best of his knowledge the kawasaki soft doors work with his top.

I'm definitely doing the triple C roof with an integrated 40 inch light bar plus the triple C bumper with a winch. Taking it to him next week.

Nice that looks good. How tall is it? I'd like to still be able to stick in my garage when I bring it town. I just ordered some 27" tires and wheels. Msa wheels and motohammer tires. Seem to have good reviews online. I wanted more of a all terrain radial type cause I run some backgrounds between some of our farms pretty often. The mud tire type just isn't any good on the pavement I think.

I just upgraded my Ranger as well with a Pro FXT. Went with 4" lift and 29x16" Moto Claw and MSA M20. Will post pics to give you an idea of the setup.
