Can you tell me about the shot. I have lost two turkeys from broadside shots. I've been told to hit them straight on when their head is down or give them a Texas heart shot.

There are a few good turkey diagrams that give a good layout of the vitals.

JMH - I always aim at the hip, right up the leg when they are broadside. Hit em high like The General said. It takes out their lungs and their 4x4. lol

Could be worse, I think I completely missed two before I started to kill them with a bow. Got 6 or 7 down now though.
