This happened to a good friend's neighbor.

"My neighbor went and voted yesterday and told me about an issue he encountered. Just wanted you to be aware so that you do not have the same issue.

At the end of his voting session, the American Flag appeared and the screen prompted him to cast his ballot or review his selections. He said that in elections past, he would simply select cast your ballot, but he decided to review his selections. He was shocked to see that his selection for President was blank but all other selections were correct. He then re-selected his choice for The President and casted his ballot. If he had not double checked his ballot, he would not have voted for The President."

What got me on the last article was the comments that followed it. I'm normally not inclined to believe this type of news, but the comments were real enough.

I'm sure there's more to those machines than what you see on the screen. The report of total votes counted for each candidate (and you don't see) is what truly matters. No way of knowing if your vote was accounted for correctly, or not. I'd rather have manual paper ballots.

.... and it is very easy for a program to be loaded into a voting machine that will change the end of day tally. So yes, you will get confirmation of who you vote for, but at the end of the day the program changes the total count. The ONLY way to catch this fraud is if you know EXACTLY what the computer code is supposed to be.
