Is a feeder like in the picture gonna survive East Texas hogs? I'd like to stand and fill my feeders, but a 250lb boar would destroy that thing I think.

What keeps corn from piling up under it?

          Coons?

Definitely going to be a pile of corn in the caged part.

              Very nice work!!

Seems like it won't throw corn very far and will pile up underneath. Also wouldn't be good with cows as they would probably just knock the whole thing over.

Yes it will pile some underneath....and it will be too low for deer to like sticking their head under it

                Ill take a LAMCO

Ya there will be a lot of wasted corn with the one at hunters extravaganza. The feeder RobinHood built is really nice and resembles some manufactured feeders. That's the way I would go if you are going to build one.

We just cut the legs to make ours a stand and fill feeder. We put a coon cage around the timer and it works fine.

The corn will pile up on the metal plate and NOTHING can get to it..

Yes, but I just do it in my spare time and that is very limited right now. After I finish this one, I'm not sure when I'll start more. It's hunting season

I would think it would definitely have to be inside a feeder pen. Thats probably what I'll do with mine if I build/buy one.

Or stake it down with T posts.
I wouldn't leave any feeder unsecured

The green plate under it actually acts a divert er that helps the corn slides to the outside of the cage.
