I've never hunted there either, but my plan was to scout the day before and find a game trail and sit as long as possible. If nothing comes up, possibly walk and stock. I'd like to walk in pretty far so I'll probably pack light and brush myself in. At least that is the plan for now.

Been going there for the last 20+ yrs. it's real hunting for sure. Killed a 10 or and several does. I usually don't go until thanksgiving so most guys are gun hunting by then and the weathers cooler. I always camp out and take a boat to get around. There's not enough space here to describe it all. But you really can't go wrong if you hunt smart. I don't walk all over the place. I find a good spot with cover and shade and hunker down. Also hunt by the water where you see sign of them drinking. Be glad to tell more if you want to hook-up.

Stayed here many times in the past on fishing trips. It's up the Devils river but fairly close to unit 4 which is boat access only. It's $135 a night for 2 bedrooms 1 bath with washer and dryer, full kitchen, living room and nice porch with bbq pits and awesome views. The 2 bedroom units are big enough to sleep 4 guys maybe more. You just need to bring food clothes and a towel. Hookers is just down the road and serves decent food and cold beer.
