I prefer my Easton Axis 400gr. They are very small diameter and excellent performing arrow.

Techhunter. What is the length and weight of your kaos? Do you have the collar of the insert?

I shoot a 27" arrow, with the insert, which is the half in, half out of the shaft. I do not put the ballistic collar on them. They are very durable and accurate, but you pay for them.

Black Eagle Deep Impacts are awesome arrows, I get mine from Muddyfuzzy. He cuts them for me and I build them myself and I have never had an issue with outserts, you might have to sand a little to get them to fit but I enjoy that kind of stuff.

I think the extra prep work is worth the effort. The outserts are much more durable on accidental bone hits than the half outs. They do a better job protecting the arrow, the half outs tend to want to push the insert portion through the carbon wall of the arrow causing catastrophic failure. It's just a function of leverage and finding the weak point.

100% right ag111, I shot the iron pig at a local shop a while back and while other people where destroying arrows, I shot the same one and actually hit the 1/2" thick steel pig probably 5 times only destroying the field tip. Arrow was still intact, even owner came in and was wondering what arrow I was shooting.
