If you have one of their d2 blades I suggest you have it custom sharpened. It is worth it because d2 can hold an edge for a long time. I can put an edge on a D2 knife with an Edge pro Apex but it still takes a while.
BTW nice work to the original poster. He went looking for a kife and found a hobby.

As far as price goes, KOA knives are worth the money, it takes a lot to run an operation as large as they are. You can get three or four KOA knives for what you'd pay for one of my mine, I can't compete with machine made.
My son had someone give him a Bubba Knife... again, don't let the name throw you. Made in China.

I have not been very impressed with them. They were incredible sharp at first but now I cannot seem to get a very good edge on them. Especially the two cubs. I just must be horrible at sharpening. I got a Havalon piranta and have been very satisfied with it.
So if anybody wants to buy some KOA I have some for sale.
