I am only 5 miles from my lease so dumping 25lbs every 3 days is not a big deal for me. If you can only make it once per week then put a whole bag out and see if it lasts longer or if they just eat that much more during the same 3 days period. Either way I think they will come back and check it out daily to see if there is anything there available for them as long as you don't let it sit without feed for a week at a time

Double it and see how long it lasts

I put out a little trough feeder a couple of weeks ago. didn't seem to bother the deer coming in. They are still eating approx 50Lbs of corn a day.

Dang, I'd go broke feeding 50 lbs per day!

I only feed on the weekends. I put out 50lbs , Fri, Sat and Sun. The little trough feeder holds about 40lbs.

Refresh your hand corn every 3-4 days with 25lbs-50lbs of corn and they will keep coming back for several days. I know it is inconvenient, but killing a big mature buck can take some inconvenience in a lot of cases to get it done. I am doing the same exact things this season.

                Listen to this!

I've got one stand that I had corned and then put up a feeder- turned to crap. Took the feeder away and it's been a solid hand corn spot for years now. I've now got three more hand corn only spots.

I have had tons of success with hand corn spots. I just dump a bag of corn there every trip to the lease. Sometimes I am gone for over a month but the deer get used to cruising through there and getting a bite. I also leave a camera there and you would be surprised at the number of animals that come by. I would highly discourage against putting a feeder in there. Changes things.

What I would do is put 50lbs out Friday, the. 100lbs out Sunday, but scatter it thin and it should take them a few days minimum to clean it up.

Thats a good idea. I need to probably spread it a little thinner as well.

Pile driver auger feeder hanging up in a tree. Virtually no sound. If you hand feed on the weekends, set it to feed Tuesday and Thursday. Will do great at keeping animals coming by. The thing with hand corn is it doesn't have to be there every day. They will come by checking to see if it is there. I have deer on camera at a hand-corn spot frequently even when I haven't put out corn for a week.

By hand Corning on certain days will patern your deer and you will then have to hunt on those days if you do this on a steady routine the same every time

Isn't this the feeder that was developed to dispense powdered feed like rice bran?
