I have drug a copperhead a few feet thinking it was briars around my boots. Pooped a little when I looked down, but removed his head in record fashion with one swift swipe of a sog flash 2.

            Just for further clarification...

Antivenom (or antivenin or antivenene) is a biological product used in the treatment of venomous bites or stings. Antivenom is created by milking venom from a relevant snake, spider, insect, or fish. The venom is then diluted and injected into a horse, sheep, rabbit, or goat. The subject animal will undergo an immune response to the venom, producing antibodies against the venom's active molecules which can then be harvested from the animal's blood and used to treat envenomation.

No snake, but equivalently horrific situation - best friend's cousin pulled his rifle up from the floorboard to take a shot at a pig and put a 22-250 through his foot (with his entire family in the truck I might add) On the way to the hospital they hit a deer and put their truck out of commission. Had to have first responders meet them on the side of the road.

Dry bite while crawling into range. I knew it was dry by the lack of pain and didn't panic. Snake was spotter that evening lol.

Sorry about that I have a bad habit of just typing. That 22-250 looks bad! How Is the foot now?

And that is why I never, I mean NEVER have a chambered round in my rifle, driving to and from the blind.

Been bitten hundreds of times while working the snake pits. They never come close to penetrating my cowboy boots. In the field I've never been bitten but I always wear boots so it's not a concern.
