When your lease is 4 hours from home, you make **** sure you've got everything. As I said, this is a multi-purpose list....for all seasons at all times of the year. I checked it all, but generally only had to pack a small portion of that list for each trip. I don't do "seat of the pants" for trips very away from home.

Everything except my bow is already at the ranch. When I get off today all I gotta do is gas up and roll.I can tell you though,it's REALLY nice having a Dollar Store 10 minutes from the cabin.

        I can understand that.....kind of.

I don't take that much crap when I go to Colorado for a month.

Hunting pack with gear stays packed year round. Have about 5 shells for each gun I shoot. As well as all the basics, binos, rangefinder, tp batteries sim card. Cleaning knife etc.
I have a tote that has my winter hunting gear in it I grab if it's cold.
Backpack I pack the night before with clothes. Extra batteries stay in it. Toiletry bag stays on it with a caribiner always packed.
So when I pack the truck I grab my hunting bag, tote if needed, clothes, coolers and weapon of choice I'm out in about 15 minuyes. I buy food while in route usually

I guess I do, too, since my stand is about 350 yards from my house.

I keep my release buckled to my bow in its case, and just in case...I also keep a spare release in my pack. I have dropped my release from my tree stand/tripod and don't like having to climb down to get it; hence, the spare.
