I bought Lowa Renegades from my CO trip this year and can't be happier. I had zero blister issues and put them through the ringer! Go to REI to thy them on first before buying off Amazon. They run about a size small.

Thanks, Sir. I ended up ordering them on Amazon with our Prime membership so I could send them back if they didn't fit. Luckily, they are fairly true to size.

I have a pair of Danner work boots, given to me by a friend who was on a SEAL team and when he left the Navy, I brought multiple new pairs home with him. One was smaller than the marked size, and turned out they fit me and were his leaving California gift. I think they were the GoreTex Acadia 8" Black Leather Work Boots. They are the best hunting boot I have ever owned, wear like iron, and I spray them with silicone every year to so to keep the leather waterproof.
I figured if they were good enough for a SEAL Team, they're good enough for me.
The other thing, is always wear heavy, Smartwool socks and get fitted for your boots with the wool socks. -20 or +110 I wear wool socks all the time to wick the perspiration away from your your skin. Cotton kills.
