    Would you be offended?

If I invited you to go hunting on my property or fishing in my boat but asked you to show me your licence before we left?
I have taken people fishing in the past only to find out later they didn't have a fishing license. I have taken friends hunting and suspect that some may not have had a license at the time. This year I plan to check thier license before hand but am not sure the best way to approach it without hurting any feelings.

    What say you GS?

Our landowner asks us for our hunting license #'s in case the GW has questions (or so he says lol) but that's alright by me and I completely understand.

The only reason they would be offended is if they dont have it. I used to make all of my sons friends take the boater safety class and show me their certificate the passed before they could drive my jet skis by themselves.

I think you should know someone pretty good before you ask them to go hunting at your place. In the process of getting to know them the topic of license should be discussed so there it is not necessary to ask if they have their license when you actually ask them to go hunting with you.

It's their ticket if they get checked and don't have their license.... I'm not gonna go if I don't have mine.
