    Buyers beware of bowtech

Not sure if this is allowed but just want to save others from dealing with what I've dealing with.
I bought a new Carbon Icon and couldn't get it to tune. Brought it to 2 bow shops found out that the riser was warped causing the string to be way out of line. To the point that I had the rest as far out as possible and still got 3 inch tears. Returned the bow at which time I was told nothing was wrong with it they reset it to factory specs?? The string however was 1/2 an inch or so closer to being in line and there were bow press marks on the limbs. It still had a maxed out rest and 1.5 inch tears. Their solution was for me to get rid of the rest that I paid their RAK package price for and install a whisker bisquit so it could adjust further. I'm not willing to accept that. I missed my elk hunt and now have no prep time for whitetail season. Never again will I buy their products And this is my 3rd bowtech bow.

    Sorry for your misfortune.

Did you try pushing the issue for replacement. If you accept a solution as they say it, they probably won't suggest full replacement.

I would demand a new bow if I was you. They'll fix you up. Your dealer should vouch for you

Yeah, heard a similar story about their customer service at an archery shop. I bought a new bow this year and have been waiting 10 years to get a new one. I went with Mathews bc they make and awesome product and have awesome customer service. At least that's what I hear but then again I don't know of anyone that's ever needed their customer service!

That sucks. I've had fantastic luck and experiences with Bowtech and my bow as well as pretty well everyone I know. I know the guys in Georegtown at Double G are Bowtech dealers and I always go to them. I'd highly recommend going to them and getting them to look it over.

I believe I'd get a favorable resolution or bite the bullet and buy a new bow before I just flat out missed an elk hunt!

I'd be slinging three in cuts at an Elk with a bad bow before I'd miss a hunt.

Hate to hear it, had a small problem with my rpm360 and bowtech put me into a new Prodigy last year. Really went above and beyond for me. Might be your dealer too?? Not bashing anyone, just an observation.

Sounds like you need a new dealer.

Go to another dealer my friend...bowtech treated me right after a limb cracked. And the rest they provide in the RAK package is junk, buy a drop away

The season is gone for my elk hunt. And I'm not one that will take a new bow out to hunt without time spent on getting comfortable. It's not fair to the animal or other hunters helping me track it. They have my bow now and my archery shop is trying to get them to replace it with a new one. They keep saying there's nothing wrong with a Bow that you can't use a normal rest on due to extreme issues with the string being out of line. I've just gone back to my recurve for the season.

I have had issues with bowtech customer service also, they kept telling me to take my old bow to anouther dealer to have the problem fixed, so I did and it was the same issue, I got on the phone with them and the 2nd dealer and they still would not fix the problem wanted me to take it to a third. There customer service is the worst I have ever seen of any company.

I've been to two separate dealers. The dealers are very helpful it's bowtech direct warranty department that is dragging their feet.

I've never had issues with Bowtech. But then again I shoot an Elite.... Never have cared for the Bowtech stuff, not real sure why, just don't

Thanks for the advice guys! I just wanted to give a heads up. I've been told that it's an issue they have had with their full carbon risers. Now waiting on them to step up.
